Frequently Asked Questions
Don't see your question? Just ask.
How do I become a new client?
Fill out the new-client intake form (button below), and Kate will review your request. Once approved, you'll get access to a private client portal where you can book visits, message Kate, see invoices, and pay online — all in one place.
What area do you serve?
Kate serves the 19075 ZIP and surrounding neighborhoods. Visits outside the 8-mile radius of 19075 are still possible at +$2 per mile, plus tolls if applicable.
What kinds of pets does Kate care for?
Dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, reptiles, and other small exotics are all welcome. If you have something more unusual, just ask.
Is Kate insured?
Yes — Kate's Neighborhood Pet Care is a fully insured LLC (HAWK910 LLC, DBA Kate's Neighborhood Pet Care) with active coverage through City National Insurance Company. Proof of insurance is available on request.
Can Kate give my pet medications?
Yes — pills, drops, and injections are no problem. There's a small add-on fee ($5–$15) depending on how easy or difficult administration is for your pet.
What if my pet has a vet emergency while I'm away?
What vaccinations does my pet need?
How far in advance should I book?
At least 2 weeks ahead guarantees availability. Last-minute bookings (within 48 hours) are sometimes possible but carry a $25 fee.
How does cancellation work?
More than 48 hours notice is free. 24–48 hours forfeits 50% of the booking. Less than 24 hours forfeits 100%. Genuine emergencies are handled case-by-case.
Will I get updates while I'm away?
Yes — every visit includes notes and photos through your client portal so you can see exactly how your pet is doing.
