Policies

Apply to all clients — no exceptions. These keep the schedule fair and Kate sustainable.

Booking

  • Book at least 2 weeks in advance to guarantee availability.
  • A deposit is required to confirm your booking. TODO for Kate: confirm deposit % — one source says 50% (due 2 weeks before start), another says 25% to confirm.
  • Full payment is due one week before the start date of your visits.
  • Bookings under 2 weeks out require full payment immediately.
  • Last-minute bookings (48 hours or less) are subject to an additional $25 fee.

Cancellation

  • More than 48 hours notice: No charge — full refund.
  • 24–48 hours notice: 50% of total booking is non-refundable.
  • Less than 24 hours notice: 100% of the booking is non-refundable.
  • Life happens. Genuine emergencies and life circumstances are reviewed case-by-case and refunds may be issued at Kate's discretion.

Payment methods

Existing clients pay through their Time To Pet client portal (Stripe-secured). For new clients without portal access yet, Kate accepts:

  • Venmo (friends & family only)
  • PayPal
  • Zelle
  • Check

Holidays

Holiday rate / availability policy goes here. Kate's rate sheet references "Regular (Non-Holiday) Bookings," so a separate holiday policy exists somewhere.

Vaccinations & vet info

Vaccination requirements (rabies, distemper, FVRCP, etc.) and how Kate handles vet emergency contacts. Kate to fill in.

Each visit is a separate charge

If Kate leaves your home and returns later in the day, that counts as a new visit and is billed accordingly. This keeps pricing transparent and ensures Kate can give every visit her full attention.
